My Chumby’s Fish!

Inspired by the form of a Heart and featuring one social network that enables you and your friends to interact with each other fish, using the Chumby’s hardware! It’s possible now to fully robotize one aquarium and bring it online!
With a colorful touch screen, that enables you to feed your friend’s fish and maintain the aquarium healthy, using sensors on the robot that monitors the habitat data and reports it online back to you. It got a menu for automation and tasks, one for configurations and one menu for real-time webcam watching your friend’s fish.
With the built-in Chumby’s Accelerometer, Compression sensors and Microphone, it’s possible to do real-time online interaction with your friends fish, using the captured shake and tap movements to simulate it with vibrations and air bubbles on your friends aquarium! Plus heat and light mood transfer, using the captured compression feelings made with the Chumby, simulating affects and emotions. Also it’s possible to sound interact with the fish, emulating it with vibrations transmitted by the robot to the aquarium.

I have been chosen to attend the upcomming Intensive Programme – a multidisciplinary approach to product innovation. The two weak event will take place during the next year february on Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen, Kortrijk, Belgium.
Focused on raising a design consciousness for engineering students, this “IP” is co-organised by: Hanzehogeschool Groningen, Netherlands; Helsinki Polytechnic Stadia, Finland; Tallinn College of Engineering, Estonia; Politecnico di Milano, Italy; Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, Spain; Istanbul Technical University, Turkey; Escola Superior de Artes e Design, Portugal.

used with an app store application, designed in mind, for the Blind and the Visually Impaired, that uses special accessibility functions, ex: text-to-speech features and moon type tactile alphabet keyboard. This simple silicon case, covers all the Apple iPhone device, and with the help of the engraved bas-relief icons, keyboard and multi-touch scrolls, it gives fully access to the interface beneath.

Branch Light – a modular LED light system

BRANCH LIGHT it’s a modular interior LED light system. It features a lightweight black ceramic body, with no wirings, no threads and no holes, just a plain faceted surface inspired on the VERTEX.
Both interconnections, LEDs and wall plus roof supports, are made, using the power of neodymium magnets.

BRANCH LIGHT é um sistema interior de luz LED modular. Com um corpo leve em cerâmica preta, sem fios, sem parafusos ou buracos, representado apenas por uma superfície facetada inspirada no VERTEX.
Ambas as interconexões, LEDs e suportes de parede ou tecto, usando magnetos do neodímio.

“No espaço em ambiente de imponderabilidade, as tarefas que implicam movimentos tornam-se ainda mais difíceis. Vestir e despir um fato, mesmo para os astronautas habituados à ausência da força gravítica, nunca será feito de forma “inconsciente” como acontece em Terra. Os movimentos e impulsos implicam uma a deslocação aleatória que apesar do treino desenvolvido é sempre uma incógnita. Assim a embalagem onde está protegido o fato é também uma forma de ajuda para sua colocação sobre o corpo. Constituída por um filme resistente, e aderente, que rompe nos pontos pré definidos sem se desintegrar, ou seja, adere à superfície do fato evitando a sua flutuação pelo ambiente imponderável. O design desta embalagem assemelha-se a uma prancha de snowboard com uma pega em cada uma das extremidades. O astronauta segura a embalagem por estas pegas com as mãos e flecte as pernas posicionando os pés nas áreas ilustradas sobre a face da embalagem. Depois é só distender as pernas que com alguma força de pressão abrem a embalagem. Os pés ficam logo correctamente posicionados dentro do fato e com o movimento continuado de puxar as pegas da embalagem o fato desenrola-se pelas pernas até à cintura. Com o fato já colocado até ao nível da cintura é então mais simples colocar as mangas. Por fim só se tem puxar o fecho frontal do fato. Desta forma são removidas as películas protectoras da extremidade de ambas as partes que vão sendo correctamente alinhadas e sobrepostas. Uma vez que estas se encontram revestidas com uma cola de contacto está concluída a selagem do fato.”
